Rebecca Tolin is a certified mind-body coach who helps people recover their wellbeing and spirit. She healed from a debilitating 13-year bout with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), as well as insomnia, migraines, fibromyalgia and interstitial cystitis, through the work of Dr. John Sarno, Dr. Howard Schubiner, Alan Gordon and other mind-body pioneers. Rebecca coaches, teaches and writes about how to heal from neuroplastic symptoms, including chronic fatigue, pain, brain fog and anxiety. 📆 What are the live class dates?
Our Welcome Module for the Spring 2025 cohort opens March 12th! That gives you a few days to peruse the course before the first live session on Tuesday, March 18th at 10 am PT. Live sessions for the Spring cohort run from March 18 - May 20, 2025. There's a total of 12 live classes with Rebecca and our guest speakers, more than past cohorts! Most sessions meet on Tuesdays from 10 am – 12 pm Pacific Time. Even if you can't attend live, you can watch the recordings and download all sessions to keep!
👩🏻🏫 What if I can't make live classes?
We've got you covered! We post class recordings on our private website about 6 hours after the live event. We have participants from around the world in our global community. Some people only watch the recordings and say they still experience the loving support, comraderie and accountability of the live cohort. Whether or not you attend live classes, you can pre-submit questions for Q&A sessions with Rebecca and guest experts. Another benefit of the cohort: You can ask our Be Your Own Medicine coaching team your personal questions on our portal during the 10-week cohort!
📚 What's the curriculum?
Yes! You can see a detailed list of our robust course lessons here. Besides live classes, there are videos, audio meditations, writing exercises and written guides to support your recovery. Past students say the course is robust but easy-to-follow. You don't have to do it all, but we offer an array of practices to suit different people.
⏳ How long do I have the course?
You'll have extended access to the Be Your Own Medicine website! You can log into the course portal for the lifetime of the program, meaning as long as we offer Be Your Own Medicine on our current teaching platform Thinkific. This will be a minimum of one year from the first live class and most likely longer, as Rebecca is passionate about offering this program! You can also download all videos, audios and handouts to keep on your personal device. Our coaching team will respond to questions during the 10-week live cohort. Students can also enjoy our Community Forum for peer-to-peer support during these 10 weeks!
🌙 When is your next live cohort?
Our Spring 2025 cohort is the only one scheduled this year. Typically, Rebecca teaches a live cohort once or twice a year. No dates are set for the next cohort. It will either be in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. If you're interested in the live experience, now is the time to dive in!
💸 Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You can pay your tuition upfront or split it into either two or three installments, charged once a month. Tuition for the Spring 2025 cohort is $995. You can find payment plans listed in the registration section of this course page.
💚 Do you offer financial aid?
If you know that Be Your Own Medicine is the program for you, and you can't afford the tuition, you're welcome to apply for a discount by March 10 at 5 pm Pacific Time. We can offer partial scholarships for a limited number of sincere seekers. Another option is our self-paced course which is offered at a lower price point!
💁🏽♀️ What's your refund policy?
This work can be challening but we encourage you to stick with it! Healing happens by moving through obstacles with consistent practice. But if it’s the right fit after the Welcome Module and first live class, we offer a money-back guarantee within the first 7 days of the course (minus a $75 processing fee). We must receive your email before 10 am Pacific Time on Tuesday, March 25th for the Spring 2025 cohort. There are no refunds after this date. If you're on a payment plan, you're still responsible to make all installments after this date. To request a refund prior to March 25, 2025, email course@rebeccatolin.com and explain your reasons to help us improve. There are no refunds for private coaching sessions as stated in our Terms of Use.

Otherwise, the self-paced course and the live cohort offer the same 10 modules, chocked full of knowledge and practices for your recovery! Because Rebecca and her team support you throughout the live cohort, the tuition is higher. The self-paced course costs $595 USD. The live cohort costs $995 USD for Spring 2025, with a $200 early bird discount during the first week of registration.

🦋 Can I get private coaching with Rebecca?
Rebecca's is opening a handful of individual coaching slots only for Be Your Own Medicine participants! These sessions are offered at an additional fee on a first-come first-served basis. The earlier you sign up for the live cohort, the more likely you are to get one! You also might work with another mind-body coach on our team. If you want to work with a therapist or doctor as an adjunct, search the Psychophysiologic Disorders Association Practioner Directory or consider a trauma-informed, somatic-based therapist in your area.

Assuming there's no major structural or pathological issue, this mind-body approach can help people with ME/CFS, long Covid, chronic fatigue, headaches, brain fog, fibromyalgia, insomnia, anxiety, POTS, irritable bowel syndrome, digestive issues, interstial cystitis and other bladder issues, pelvic pain, chronic back, neck or shoulder pain, migraines and headaches, TMJ, repetitive stress injuries and other mind-body symptoms. 🧠 Can my brain cause symptoms?
Chronic pain, fatigue, brain fog, anxiety and other mind-body symptoms are 100% real and you feel them in your body. But emerging science shows the cause can be in the brain. When our nervous system gets activated, there's a cascade of physiological changes in nerve firing patterns, blood flow and hormone production etc. Nervous system activation and learned neural pathways can cause pain, fatigue, weakness, tingling, burning, spasms, anxiety, insomnia, difficulty concentrating, insomnia and more. John Sarno used to say that TMS symptoms can be stronger than symptoms with a structural cause. Fortunately, there's a remedy!
